Privacy Policy

Kotze ("we", "us") makes a car-ownership app for drivers in the Philippines, available at kotze.app and on iOS and Android. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We follow the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173).
What we collect
- Account info — your email address, and your name if you add it. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email and basic profile from Google.
- Vehicle info — make, model, variant, year, plate number, fuel type, transmission, odometer readings, purchase date, nickname and an optional photo.
- Service records — dates, shops, costs, line items and photos of receipts you upload.
- Documents — photos or PDFs of your OR/CR, CTPL, insurance, emission certificate or driver's license that you choose to upload, with expiry dates.
- RFID estimates — reloads, toll amounts and balances you enter, and images (screenshots, dashcam frames, photos of toll displays) you upload to verify them. We never ask for, store or use your Easytrip or Autosweep login.
- Location setting — the city you drive in, used only for number-coding rules. We do not track your GPS location.
- Push token — a device token so we can send reminders, if you allow notifications.
- Waitlist — if you join our waitlist: email, car model and city.
How we use it
- To run the app: show your garage, reminders, coding status, RFID estimates and documents.
- To read receipts and balance screenshots you upload. These images are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) solely to extract the text; they are not used to train AI models.
- To send the reminders and alerts you asked for.
- To keep the service secure and fix problems.
We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.
Where it's stored
Your data is stored with Supabase (database, authentication and file storage) and the app is hosted on Vercel. Files are stored in private storage and are only accessible to you through short-lived links. Access to your records is restricted to your account by database security rules.
Sharing
We share data only with service providers that help us run Kotze (Supabase, Vercel, Anthropic for image reading, Google Firebase for push notifications), under agreements that protect it, or when required by law.
Your choices and rights
- Edit or delete any car, record, reminder, RFID entry or document at any time.
- Delete your account in Settings → Delete account. This permanently deletes your account, all your data and all uploaded files.
- Turn off notifications in your phone's settings.
- You may request a copy of your data or ask questions at privacy@kotze.app.
Children
Kotze is not intended for children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We'll post changes here and update the date above. Significant changes will be announced in the app.
